This is where the idea is translated into something that can actually be built. At the end of this stage, you will normally have a Prototype.
Return to The Design Process
After considering all the requirements, a circuit will be designed. Major components will be specified and sourced. Decisions will be made as to what technologies are appropriate, bearing in mind costs, projected volumes, and other requirements. A working model may be required to prove the circuit design.

If it is decided to use programmable logic or a microcontroller, then it will be necessary to design, code and debug software. A Software Specification will be required. We can help to write this, if necessary.
A prototype will normally be built to prove the functionality of the design. This prototype can also be used by the inventor to show potential backers. It is also useful to review, and possibly refine, the original requirements.
